A lotus, fully carved.

The lotus grows out of mud and opens clean — which is why it turns up everywhere in East Asian art. Ours is carved in full flower, framed by a ring of small blossoms, pressed in warm terracotta and hung from a blue cord.

Story & symbolism

We chose terracotta rather than the usual red so the carving reads as clay or wood rather than lacquer. The white and green accent beads above the medallion are the only cool notes in the piece, and they sit exactly where the light hits.

Aroma

A soft floral-botanical aroma. The aroma is released by the pressed beads themselves — there is no added perfume, no oil to top up, and nothing to refill. Like any natural material it mellows over time; sealing the piece in the pouch overnight slows that process.

How to wear it

Worn on the cord provided. Remove before showering or swimming.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with water and direct sunlight.
