Aroma Bracelets

What is an incense bead bracelet?

An incense bead bracelet is a strand of solid beads pressed from aromatic plant materials — woods, resins, roots and spices — following the classical Chinese art of hexiang (合香), or blended incense. Nothing is burned and there is no smoke: the scent lives in the beads themselves, released slowly by body warmth and air. There is no fragrance oil to drip, no diffuser to refill, nothing synthetic anywhere in the piece.

How our beads are made

Every bracelet starts as a formula, not a guess. Aromatic materials are weighed to the recipe, ground to a fine powder, worked into a paste, then rolled and pressed by hand before a slow, shaded cure. Small batches, recipe by recipe — which is why no two beads are exactly alike in weight, texture or colour.

Choosing your formula

Our seven bracelets vary by aromatic formula and by the stone or colour accent set into the strand:

  • Five Element series — Fire, Wood and Earth, each built around the character of its element【校对:按实际系列写】
  • Botanical series — Pearl Essence, Purple Rose and Pear Chamber, led by a single note from the recipe【校对】
  • Scholar's Clarity — the quiet blend traditionally kept at the scholar's desk【校对】

Wearing and caring for your bracelet

Worn against the skin the scent is more present; over a sleeve it stays contained — that is the point of a bead: a scent you catch when you move your wrist. Keep it dry, store it in the cotton pouch it arrives in, and keep it out of direct sun. Water is the only real risk. With ordinary care a piece keeps mellowing for months.
