Nine-Tailed Fox — Handmade Aroma Amulet | BEYUL

A fox spirit, carved in high relief.

The nine-tailed fox is one of East Asia's most recognisable folkloric figures — a spirit that earns each tail through wit and discipline. We carved it as a deep red medallion in high relief, hung from an amber bead and a blue-and-gold braided cord.

Story & symbolism

In the folklore, the fox's tails are accumulated, not given. We chose a dense, saturated red for the relief and set it on a cool blue cord so the piece reads as unisex-friendly but unmistakably bold. It is one of our three flagship designs.

Materials & craft

• Medallion: hand-pressed relief, slow-cured
• Cord: braided, adjustable, up to 24 in / 60 cm
• Weight: approx. 22 g
• Materials: deep red pressed-composite fox-face medallion in high relief, amber bead, blue and gold braided cord
• Origin: designed in California, crafted in China

Aroma

A soft red-wood botanical aroma. The aroma is released by the pressed beads themselves — there is no added perfume, no oil to top up, and nothing to refill. Like any natural material it mellows over time; sealing the piece in the pouch overnight slows that process.

How to wear it

Worn as a pendant on the cord provided, or swapped onto a chain of your own. Remove before showering or swimming.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with water, sweat, and direct sunlight. Cord colour may deepen with wear.
